Madiba, Mthembu, Sophitsho, Ngqolomsila, Lala ngoxolo Tata!
Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, the father of the nation, has died on December 5 2013 at the age of 95.
It is with great sadness that the Nation awoke to the news of our fallen hero, freedom fighter, peace maker, unifier, first President of a democratic South Africa. While his long illness was in some way a preparation for this day, the emotions that we feel as individuals, as groups and as a nation is very real.
For all that Madiba has done for South Africa and the world, we thank him. For the millions that mourn today, we ask that you be comforted. We celebrate a life well lived for others.
"When a man has done what he considers to be his duty to his people and his country; he can rest in peace. I believe I have made that effort and that is, therefore, why I will sleep for the eternity.”
Hamba Kakuhle Tata!
