Reported COVID-19 Deaths:

Regrettably, we report 128 more COVID-19 related deaths: 4 from Mpumalanga, 25 from the Eastern Cape, 36 from Gauteng, 11 from KwaZulu Natal and 52 from the Western Cape.  This brings the total national deaths to 2 657 with a mortality rate of 1,8%.

We extend our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased.

The recoveries to date are 73 543- this translates to a recovery rate of 48,6%.
