Reported Deaths and Recoveries

Regrettably, we report 47 new COVID-19 related deaths: 7 from Eastern Cape, 16 from Gauteng, 3 from KwaZulu Natal, 3 from Free State, 11 from Mpumalanga and 7 from Western Cape. This brings the cumulative number of deaths to 14 028

We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased.

The number of recoveries currently stands at 538 604 which translates to a recovery rate of 86%
