As of today,  the cumulative number of detected COVID-19 cases is 759 658 with 2 514 new cases identified since the last report.

Total Deaths and Recoveries

Regrettably, 115 more COVID-19 related deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 43, Free State 23, Gauteng 23, KwaZulu-Natal 9, Mpumalanga 2 and Western Cape 15. This brings the total deaths to 20 671 Of the 115 deaths, 24 reportedly occurred in past 24 hours: 10 in Eastern Cape, 1 in Gauteng, 4 in KwaZulu-Natal and 9 in Western Cape.

We extend our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the healthcare workers that treated the deceased patients.

Our recoveries now stand at 702 544 which translates to a recovery rate of 92,6%.
