Deaths and Recoveries

Regrettably, 230 deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 24, Free State 7, Gauteng 21, KwaZulu-Natal 27, Limpopo 122, Mpumalanga 10, North West 0, Northern Cape 0 and Western Cape 19  which brings the total to 48 708 deaths. 

We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased patients.

Our recoveries now stand at 1 403 214, representing a recovery rate of 93,6%.

Vaccination Rollout

The number of health care workers vaccinated under the Sisonke Protocol is 2 260 as of 6 pm 18 February 2021.
