Reported Deaths and Recoveries

Regrettably, we report 162 new COVID-19 related deaths: 70 from Eastern Cape, 6 from the Free State,  27 from Gauteng, 21 from KwaZulu Natal, 18 from North West and 20 from Western Cape. This brings the cumulative number of deaths to 11 839

We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased.

The number of recoveries currently stands at 472 377  which translates to a recovery rate of 80%
