Since 12th May 2019, three anthrax outbreaks have been reported in the Maseru district of Lesotho. Twenty-four cattle have died and a further 106 cattle infections are suspected. A case of Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever (CCHF) was confirmed in a 54-year-old man from the Ventersdorp surrounds, North West province in the first week of May 2019.
