Reported Deaths and Recoveries

Regrettably, we report 149 new COVID-19 related deaths: 16 from Eastern Cape, 54 from Gauteng, 35 from KwaZulu Natal, 16 from Mpumalanga, 10 from Northern Cape, and 18 from Western Cape. This brings the cumulative number of deaths to 13 308

We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased.

The number of recoveries currently stands at 520 381 which translates to a recovery rate of 84%
