Reported COVID-19 Deaths:

Regrettably, we report 73 more COVID-19 related deaths: 1 from Mpumalanga, 5 from Limpopo, 2 from the North West, 6 from Gauteng, 10 from the Eastern Cape, 6 from KwaZulu Natal and 43 from the Western Cape.  This brings the total national deaths to 2 529 with a mortality rate of 1,8%.

We extend our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased.

The recoveries to date are 70 614– this translates to a recovery rate of 48,9%.
